LebNet, North America’s premier Lebanese technical professional organization, is pleased to recognize outstanding professionals in the technology field in 4 different categories:
Executive of the Year
Rola Dagher was instrumental in driving strong Dell business results growth in her first year on the job, despite the pandemic challenges. She is highly recognized by her peers in the industry for her leadership and social impact and has been a role model for LebNet’s Women in Tech and Early in Career.
Technologist of the Year
Shadi Dayeh was awarded $ 12.25M grant from the National Institute of Health for his team’s ongoing research on epilepsy treatment. His research has led to the incubation of multiple startups and is an inspiration for our students and entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneur of the Year
Karim Atiyeh is the co-founder of New York City’s fastest growing startup, valued at $ 3.9B. Ramp’s mission is to use technology to identify wasteful corporate spending and his track record of innovation is paving the way for Lebanese entrepreneurs.
Philanthropists of the Year
Yalda Aoukar is a successful financial service professional with skills in equity and capital for entrepreneurs and startups. She has used this expertise to help co-found Jobs for Lebanon.
Roy Baladi is President of the board of directors for Jobs for Lebanon, which is the largest global job center for Lebanon. He is active in volunteer efforts for NGO and social impacting initiatives, particularly underrepresented talent.
Neal El-Jor Taouk is a social entrepreneur leading the overall operations and global growth strategy for Jobs for Lebanon, which has reached over 15,000 candidates, close to 4000 jobs posted and over 1000 individuals connected to opportunities. She is driven by social impact and inspired by people with a heart for a cause.
Congratulations to the award recipients for their great accomplishments and for being an inspiration and a role model to all young Lebanese who are starting their journey in tech. They are a great source of pride for LebNet and provide hope for a better future for Lebanon.
The award recipients will be celebrated during LebNet’s year-end event on December 15th, 2021. The celebration will be kicked off with wine tasting with Naji and Jill Boutros, owners of Chateau Belle-Vue vineyards and winery in Bhamdoun, Lebanon. They will discuss their 22+ years of dedication to Naji’s ancestral village and Bhamdoun’s legendary vineyards which now produce world-class wines of spectacular quality and value.
