A New Leader Joins the LebNet Board!

We are thrilled to announce that Jibran, Vice President of Software at NVIDIA, has officially joined the LebNet Board of Directors.

With over 21 years of experience in building global organizations, delivering transformative projects, and advancing AI-driven technologies, Jibran brings invaluable expertise and leadership to our community. A dedicated mentor and advocate for Lebanese technologists and entrepreneurs, Jibran has been the leader of LebNet’s Bay Area community, the largest in our network, fostering connections and opportunities for growth.

As a Board member, Jibran will play a key role in shaping LebNet’s initiatives and expanding our impact across North America and beyond. We are excited to collaborate and leverage Jibran’s insights to further empower the Lebanese tech ecosystem.

OUR PROGRAMS

Tech Fellows Program Launch on Jan 8th

LebNet is thrilled to launch the third cohort of our Tech Fellows Program! We received 125 applications and have admitted 100 students from 13 universities across Lebanon. This year, an incredible team of early-career professionals will lead interactive sessions every other Saturday from January to June, equipping our students with the essential skills needed to excel in a tech career after graduation.

WiT Mentorship 2025 program launch 

LebNet kicked off its WiT Mentorship Program for the year with an engaging orientation session on January 30. The program will run from January to June and will be enhanced by career development workshops. We’re excited for the amazing relationships and mentorship that will unfold throughout this journey!

Our Partnerships

LebNet / Lebanese Collegiate Network (LCN) Stem Award

Sponsored by LebNet, the LCN STEM Award recognizes talented subscribing students who demonstrate a remarkable academic record, are ambassadors of Lebanese Heritage, and present themselves as leaders among their peers. The $500 scholarship will be awarded to one undergraduate or graduate candidate. 

Additionally, we encourage our members to register for the LCN Annual Convention, taking place this year at UC Riverside from April 4-6.

UN Diaspora Survey , deadline Feb 15

The United Nations Resident Coordination Office in Lebanon has launched a survey inviting members of the Lebanese diaspora to share their motivations for contributing to Lebanon. The insights gathered will be instrumental in shaping future initiatives and enhancing the diaspora's  engagement.
