Lebanon is grappling with an unprecedented crisis that has left over 350,000 children out of school, threatening the future of an entire generation.
To address this urgent challenge, LebNet, in partnership with LIFE, is proud to launch the Lebanese Education Emergency Fund. This initiative aims to support NGOs in providing formal education to school-age children from displaced and host communities, ensuring they don’t miss this academic year.
In collaboration with 360 Consulting Agency, an in-depth assessment of the crisis’s impact on Lebanon’s education sector was conducted. The findings underscore an urgent need for targeted interventions to support displaced populations and host communities while maintaining educational continuity. View the full report here.
LebNet and LIFE share a steadfast commitment to nurturing Lebanon’s future generations. This initiative will collaborate with trusted, non-political organizations that pass a rigorous due diligence process. A dedicated subcommittee of LIFE and LebNet members, along with external education experts, will oversee NGO selection, proposal reviews, fund disbursement, and ongoing evaluation.
This fundraising campaign will last for 12 weeks, and we need everyone’s support to be impactful. We believe that through education we can lay the groundwork for a more cohesive and harmonious society. Help us build a brighter future for Lebanon.
