Oculi is offering an opportunity for aspiring engineers with good technical fundamentals to join its engineering team for 12 weeks. The engineering intern will get the chance to work on a variety of tasks ranging from further developing Oculi’s breakthrough technology to collaborating with engineers on the development of innovative imaging solutions. 

The engineering intern will help implement new features, collect/analyze data, and come up with novel solutions to problems being faced across a variety of industries. From a programming perspective this can involve anything from writing HDL to embedded software to a customer facing GUI. As a result this spans everything from working with or implementing low level image processing operations to a full blown perception stack. 

Skills and Requirements 

● Students in their penultimate year pursuing studies in an engineering or science field such as Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other relevant field.

● Interest in the fields of perception and autonomy. 

● Understanding of object-oriented software engineering. 

● Ability to write clean, well-documented code. 

● Track record of successful application development. 

● Working knowledge of C++, Python, and Matlab. 

● Working knowledge of VHDL is preferred.

● Working knowledge of Linux. 

● Working knowledge of programming for Windows is preferred. 

● Solid troubleshooting and communication skills. 

● Strong mathematical and problem solving capabilities. 

● Be able and willing to learn quickly. 

● Fluent in English.
