Soft Landing

For its 2nd year, the LebNet Early in Career Committee is hosting the Soft Landing program. This program will award $1,000 stipends intended for senior Lebanese engineering students from different Lebanese universities planning to pursue their graduate studies in the U.S. or Canada. The funds are to be used to defray initial travel expenses to the students.The recipient will also be assigned a LebNet mentor to assist through their graduate school journey.

The stipend application is open from April 1st to May 30th, 2024. All eligible applicants must apply here before the deadline of May 30th, 2024. Applications will be assessed by the LebNet EiC team and candidates will be selected based on merit. The program awardees will be informed by June 15, 2024 and funds will be distributed upon arrival to North America.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Senior Lebanese engineering student currently enrolled in a Lebanese University 

  • Student must have received a 2024/2025 acceptance letter from a graduate program in a U.S. or Canadian University
  • Student must have expressed their intent to enroll in a U.S. or Canadian University for the 2024/2025 academic year

Application Supporting Documents:

  • Resume (Required)  

  • Letter of acceptance and intent to enroll letter in US or Canadian University (Required)

  • Transcript (Required)

  • Any other supporting documents (recommendation letters, etc.) (Optional)
