About Alaa Khaddaj:
Alaa Khaddaj is a research scientist at OpenAI. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from AUB, and his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. During his PhD, Alaa worked, under the supervision of Aleksander Madry, on developing reliable Machine Learning models. His research focused on developing the understanding and tools that enable real-world deployment of machine learning models at scale in a reliable and responsible way. In addition, Alaa was a VC fellow at E14 Fund, an MIT-affiliated VC, where he helped with identifying potential startups within the MIT community, conducting due diligence on potential investments and aiding E14 portfolio companies in specific challenges.
