LebNet Pacific Northwest hosted its first event of the year, a Family Picnic on Saturday, October 4th, bringing together about 30 community members for an afternoon of connection, great food, and outdoor fun.
Attendees enjoyed delicious manoushes and more, generously donated by Manoushe Express, friendly conversations, and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces while welcoming many first-time participants. “People really loved reconnecting with ones they knew and hadn’t seen in a while, and many met new ones — for some, it was their first event,” shared community leader Raja Yanni. “It really felt like a great event; people enjoyed the Lebanese food, were happy to be out and see each other, and were already asking what we’re doing next!”
One attendee summed up the spirit of the day perfectly: “It was great seeing everyone today! Thanks a bunch @Raja Yanni for organizing this and gathering us.”
With around ten kids having fun at the nearby playground and adults sharing laughter and stories, the picnic perfectly captured the warmth and spirit of the LebNet community. This being our first gathering of the year, we’re excited about the energy and enthusiasm the community is bringing and can’t wait for what’s next!
