On November 14, LebNet Montreal hosted an exceptional evening focused on one of today’s most critical topics: cybersecurity. The event brought together leaders from government and industry for a lively, insightful discussion attended by 40+ highly engaged participants.
The panel featured Alice Abou-Khalil, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Technology, and Fadi Joseph, Cybersecurity expert. The conversation was expertly moderated by Nada Zogheib, Strategic Business consultant & coach.
The discussion tackled emerging threats, evolving technologies, and the policies shaping our digital future. The audience was notably participative, contributing thoughtful questions and observations. As community leader Rania Afiouni-Monla remarked:
“It was food for the brain and food for the heart. The audience was very engaged… and then in a second we moved from cybersecurity mode to tears-in-our-eyes mode with touching words from Fadi and Alice and an emotional reaction from Nada.”
A deeply moving moment unfolded when Nada Zogheib was surprised
with a government medal, nominated by colleagues and community members in recognition of her exceptional contributions. She has
supported countless entrepreneurs and played a vital role in advancing the success of numerous businesswomen through the Quebec businesswomen’s network. With experience both inside and outside academic institutions, Nada has been a pillar of guidance and impact. Surrounded by dignitaries, peers, and friends, she accepted the honor with heartfelt gratitude: “I had the privilege of moderating a rich and inspiring panel... I was then surprised and honored to receive a government medal, making the moment even more meaningful. I leave this experience energized and determined to continue contributing to our ecosystem.”
Panelist and LebNet Leader Fadi Joseph added:
“A powerful mix of cybersecurity, emotions, and true community spirit.”
From cutting-edge insights on AI and cybersecurity to heartfelt community recognition, the evening delivered an exceptional blend of learning, inspiration, and connection, perfectly capturing the spirit of LebNet Montreal.
Congratulations, Nada, and thank you to the LebNet Montreal leadership team and community for making this event such a success!
