Location: Remote (Based in Lebanon, supporting North America)

Time Commitment: Full-Time

Working Hours: Must align primarily with Pacific Time (PT)

Reports to: Executive Director


ABOUT LEBNET:

Founded in 1999 in Silicon Valley, LebNet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to welcoming, empowering, and connecting the Lebanese tech diaspora across the United States and Canada. Today, LebNet serves a growing network of 4,000+ members, spanning diverse professional tech backgrounds, from Fortune 500 managers and C-level executives to venture capitalists, startup founders, entrepreneurs, academics, engineers, consultants, and small business owners.

LebNet is organized into regional and professional communities, currently 15 in total (13 geographic and 2 professional), which form the backbone of the organization. Through these communities and its flagship programs, LebNet advances its core mission: to empower tech entrepreneurs and professionals of Lebanese descent to succeed globally, nurture youth of Lebanese heritage, and give back to Lebanon.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The LebNet Communities Manager will lead the coordination, engagement, and growth of LebNet’s communities across North America, while playing a key role in expanding LebNet’s overall footprint and impact.

This role oversees 15 existing communities, ensuring they are active, engaged, and thriving by supporting community leaders, events, and local initiatives. The Communities Manager will work closely with volunteer leadership teams to drive consistent programming, strong participation, and alignment with LebNet’s mission, while also identifying opportunities to revitalize communities that are currently inactive or under-engaged.

In addition, the role is responsible for launching 1–2 new communities annually, building leadership teams, and setting them up for long-term success.

The position is full-time and remote, based in Lebanon, and requires consistent availability during Pacific Time business hours. It is a highly cross-functional role that blends community leadership, operations, growth strategy, and platform enablement, working across programs, marketing, and leadership to strengthen LebNet’s community ecosystem at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Community Leadership & Support
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all community leadership teams
  • Facilitate regular community leadership calls, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
  • Coach and support volunteer leaders in planning and executing events and initiatives
  • Host recurring bimonthly leaders meetings to ensure clear communication, alignment with LebNet’s mission, values, and strategic priorities, and cross-sharing of best practices across communities
  2. Programming & Events
  • Develop a full-year events dashboard for each community and support execution of both virtual and in-person events
  • Secure venues and local partners as needed
  • Promote events locally and actively engage members on the ground
  • Host and support end-to-end event execution, including speakers, assets, approvals, and dependencies
  • Collaborate with community leaders to source speakers and curate content
  • Partner with the Communications Specialist to amplify community activities through event visuals, advertising, and social media
  • Document event financials, outcomes, and recaps
  • Consolidate regional inputs into a single, global LebNet events calendar
  • Drive adoption of LebNet’s core programs at the community level
  • Identify, document, and scale successful community-led initiatives across regions

  3. Community Platform Enablement

  • Support community leaders in onboarding and effective use of the new platform
  • Ensure communities use the platform for events, communications, and engagement
  • Collect feedback to continuously improve platform adoption and experience
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency across communities in the system

  4. Community Growth & Expansion

  • Drive membership growth targets across communities
  • Track Event registrations, attendance, and conversion to paid members metrics
  • Lead the launch of 1-2 new communities annually, prioritizing regions with Lebanese in Tech and Science in the middle of North America
  • Identify and onboard new community leaders and teams
  • Proactively identify underperforming communities and unblock them
  • Manage community leadership team transitions, including replacing leaders as roles evolve or members step down
  5. Community Operations & Consistency
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes, and best practices
  • Track community activity, engagement, and reporting across all chapters
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and member experience
  • Serve as a bridge between community leaders, the executive team, and the board

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years of experience in community management, nonprofit operations, or program management
  • Experience working with volunteer-led or distributed teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple communities and priorities across time zones
  • Comfortable working primarily on Pacific Time hours
