“Virtual reality is still a mystery to most people. Many assume that the technology is limited to gaming or entertainment, while others look down on the trend, claiming it will turn us into anti-social, isolated robots”.
Come find out for yourselves and experience the wonders of a Virtual Reality Immersion guaranteed to blow your mind!
Sami Ramly will demo 360° interactive movies, music videos, stories and more. Attendees will each have a chance to try on the VR experience run on the most cutting edge VR devices. Sami will also talk about the latest apps and use cases, how they can affect our daily lives, and give us a peak into the future of VR.
Hassan Karaouni will demo “From Whence We Came” a virtual reality experience which highlights the need for science, conservation, and accountable ocean actions. The experience is a work in progress by Hassan and Cody Karutz. This was made possible by a pioneering collaboration between Stanford University, Hopkins Marine Station and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Hassan and Sami are members of the Rabbit Hole VR founding team, Stanford's largest AR/VR community. Both continue to contribute to the community in an advisory role, which most often entails spreading the word about the community and helping to explore industry partnerships.
