On August 31st at 12 PM PST, LebNet will be hosting an exclusive roundtable discussion with Habib Haddad, LebNet Chairman & Managing Partner at E14 Fund.

About Habib Haddad:

Habib is a serial entrepreneur, early stage investor and community builder. He is the Managing Partner of E14 Fund, the MIT Media Lab affiliated deep tech venture fund. His active investments include Figur8 (digital MSK injury diagnostics), Thruwave (Supply chain visibility using mmWave), Guardian Ag (Robotic application precision agriculture), Overjet (AI for Dental industry), OPT Industries (Computational manufacturing platform).

He has also been a founding member of several startups, last of which built linguistics tools for right to left languages (Yamli) which he exited to Yahoo! in 2012. After that, he became an active angel investor in the Boston ecosystem then moved back to the Middle East - where he is originally from – to start Wamda, a media company focused on startups and subsequently helped launch Wamda Capital, one of the first early stage venture fund in the MENA region which invested in companies like Careem (sold to Uber for $3B). His work is credited to have played a pivotal role in accelerating the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the MENA region.

In 2009, the World Economic Forum recognized Habib as a Young Global Leader and was named as a top innovator under 35 (TR35) by the MIT Technology review in 2011. In 2013, he was the Vice Chair of the World Economic Forum council on entrepreneurship and currently sits on the Global Future Council on Systems and Platforms.

Habib holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
