Job Description


Wearable Sensing is a San Diego-based company focused on the development of wearable sensors technology and its potential applications. Our first products are wearable wireless brain activity monitoring systems that are opening the door to innovative applications in commercial domains including neuroergonomics, augmented cognition, Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI), neuromarketing, peak-performance training, etc. Wearable Sensing is a start-up that was founded in March 2013 and is actively growing.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Intern will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up environment and support the sales and marketing team in creating marketing materials, digital designs, and mining database tools to cultivate strong customer relationships, amongst other related tasks.

SKILLS THE INTERN MUST HAVE:

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tools - Familiarity with CRM software and tools to manage and optimize customer interactions.
  • Marketing – An interest and foundational understanding of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Creative Competencies - Demonstrated creative skills that can contribute to innovative marketing designs and solutions.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues.

      STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS:

      • Assist in generation of photographic and video marketing materials.
      • Assist in development of content for social media, website and marketing media, materials for exhibiting at conferences, creating presentations, newsletters and generating materials for press and media materials.
      • Assist in setting up website SEO optimization, ad campaigns, and analytics.
      • Assist in updating CRM contacts and validation and integration of external leads.
      • Assist in implementation of new CRM capabilities, such as surveys, analytics, presentations, and more.

      STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS:

      • At least 2 semesters of marketing or communications coursework.
      • Self-driven individual who is meticulous and diligently attentive to details.
      • Responsible and independent worker who strives to complete projects on time.
      • Fluency in English, with good communication and writing skills.
      • Fluency in various marketing relevant software tools including photo and video editing, media design, CRM, social medial platforms, Google analytics.
      • Flexible team-player who is capable of following instructions.


        This internship is available through the Border Region Talent Pipeline Grant, which has its own eligibility criteria. Interested participants must meet these requirements and apply accordingly.
