Orderbot

At Orderbot Software Inc, we seek to hire a quality assurance team member.  The candidate will work as a part of a team delivering order management software-as-a-service. You will play a critical role increasing the automation of our deployment pipeline, reducing hand-offs while increasing coverage. You will improve the capacity and ability of our teams to deliver product enhancements more sustainably, and with superior quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Write excellent test cases suitable for consumption by an automation test tool, but still human readable. 
  • Analyze a story and determine what needs to be tested/structure, break down etc.
  • Work with developers, BAs, other QA, and customer support folks to capture assumptions and clarify requirements to design and implement their tests.
  • Create automated smoke tests, integration, API and component tests as part of continuous integration.
  • Perform exploratory testing, both in support of existing QA and as guide to finding automation opportunities.
  • Eventually create load, performance and security tests.

Skills and requirements:

  • Experienced in Windows and .NET stack
  • Experienced with Visual Studio tool chain, and are comfortable doing integration-level coding with C#
  • Experienced with 1 or more scripting languages. E.g. Python, Perl. Bonus points for PowerShell.
  • Familiar and comfortable with SQL Server, able to write sophisticated queries.
  • Familiar with multiple testing frameworks.
  • Familiar with common continuous integration tools and practices. E.g. TeamCity, Bamboo etc
  • Familiar with data driven testing.
  • Comfortable in an agile development environment.
