Speakers
Rania Afiouni Monla
Rania has ten years of entrepreneurship experience in IT consulting and ERP and another ten years in academia, most of which at AUB and LAU. She is currently a researcher at McGill university in Montreal pursuing a PhD on AI in management. Her research includes impact of AI on jobs, human-AI collaboration, and trust in AI. She is member of the Montreal AI Ethics group and LebNet.
Nadia Naffi
Dr. Naffi is an assistant professor at Université Laval and holds the Chair in Educational Leadership on the sustainable transformation of pedagogical practices in digital contexts (Chaire de leadership en enseignement sur la transformation durable des pratiques pédagogiques en contexte numérique - Banque Nationale). Her current research focuses on how to prepare the current and future workforce to thrive in an era of artificial intelligence (AI). Dr. Naffi is the recipient of the Governor General Gold Medal - Person and Society - 2018
Fadi Dagher
Dagher was appointed director of the Longueuil agglomeration police department in 2017. He was an assistant director at the Police Department of the City of Montreal for 23 years and received many awards, including the Citation of Excellence in Racial and Social Profiling, the Honor Award, and merit for his contributions to Montreal's Black community. Dagher holds a bilingual Master of Business Administration degree for experienced managers from McGill University - HEC Montreal, and diplomas from the Police Executive Leadership Institute of the Major Cities Chiefs Association and LinCT (Multilateral Leadership Training Program).
