Software Engineer

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Intern that will help us put the world’s 1+ billion cars to better use. As a member of the site performance team you will work on meaningful projects, building processes and tools that have an impact on the business and support the development of blazing fast and highly performant applications.

You’ll pair with experienced and talented engineers from all backgrounds to estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, triage production issues and shape an exciting app that’s changing how people travel and think about car ownership.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on projects that impact the business. You’ll see how a real engineering team works, from sprint planning to shipping code.
  • Write, test, review and ship high quality code.
  • Work in a team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships with other peers.
  • Help us maintain and grow a codebase and an award-winning culture.

Skills and requirements:

  • Possess the constant desire and curiosity to learn and improve.
  • You have a background in computer science or similar.
  • You have some programming experience. Most of our systems are written in Java, Kotlin and JavaScript, but experience with these languages is not a requirement.
  • Passionate about creating outstanding user experiences, down to those little details that matter.
  • You approach problems with a positive energy.
